The Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) is an upcoming framework that aims to develop guidance for businesses and investors on inequality and social-related financial disclosures. To be launched in 2024, this global initiative has multifaceted members including large institutional investors like CalPERS, supranational organizations like the OECD, non-profits like Oxfam, and initiatives like the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), among others. The prevailing inequalities within the global arena and their associated social impacts are considered one of the significant risks facing society. The TISFD Working Group is funded by the Laudes Foundation and The Tipping Point Fund on Impact Investing. The working group is seeking feedback on the proposed approach. The approach is to look at both the impact and financial materiality of inequality and social issues at the idiosyncratic and systemic levels, among other factors.
